Fidelity Bank Hosts Supply Drive for Local Animal Shelters

Join Fidelity Bank Iowa and Fidelity Bank Illinois as we celebrate National Dog Day on Monday, August 26 with a Supply Drive benefiting Furry Friends Refuge in West Des Moines, Iowa and Carroll County Animal Control in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Items will be collected starting Monday August 26 and continue all week through Friday, August 30.

 

The following items can be dropped at all Fidelity Bank locations in central Iowa (West Des Moines, Huxley and Cambridge - please note time of day) and all locations in western Illinois (Savanna, Thomson and Mt. Carroll)

Fidelity Bank Iowa has partnered with Watson and Wallie, maker of the world's healthiest dog treats based in Waukee, Iowa! Each person donating an item will receive a $5 Coupon good towards the purchase of dog treats from Watson and Wallie.

Furry Friends Refuge is a nonprofit humane organization serving the animals of central Iowa. Furry Friends is a 501(c)3 tax-deductible organization and created the first no-kill community in the Des Moines metro area.

 

The Carroll County Animal Control office investigates complaints of dogs running at large, picks up stray dogs and investigates complaints of abuse and neglect. They also adopt all animals in their care found to have a home.  

Founded in 2004 by Animal Welfare Advocate and Pet Lifestyle Expert, Colleen Paige, National Dog Day celebrates all breeds, mixed and pure and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and pure breed rescues.
